Assembly Technician

Our client, a worldwide leader in automotive safety, a pioneer in both seat belts and airbags, and a technology leader with the widest product offering for automotive safety is looking for an assembly technician for their growing prototype department.  The assembly technician will be working closely with the team to ensure inventory is readily available.

The hourly pay rate for this position is $12.00. The work schedule is Monday – Friday, 7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. with occasional overtime.

This is a long term temporary position with the possibility of going direct.

Assembly Technician Duties:

  • Working from a list to pull parts from inventory to create an assembly kit for the prototype technician to build.
  • Receiving inventory and placing in warehouse.
  • Assemble parts working off a diagram.
  • Test products and document activity.
  • Disassemble parts upon completion of testing and documentation.

Assembly Technician Requirements:

  • Minimum of HSD or GED
  • Intermediate knowledge of Word, Excel and Outlook
  • 1+ years of related experience

Assembly Technician Skills:

  • Applicant must possess a mechanical aptitude and be familiar with the use of hand and power tools as well as electronics/electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic and mechanical presses.
  • Ability to follow directions and follow procedures without deviation.
