Office Clerk

Our client, a local municipality in Sylvan Lake is looking for an Office Clerk.  The Office Clerk will be responsible for supporting the Deputy Treasurer and City Manager as well as assisting the community.

The work schedule is Monday – Thursday with a work schedule of 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

This is a temporary to hire opportunity.

Office Clerk Duties:

  • Answering phones and assisting callers with inquiries
  • Greeting walk-in visitors
  • Reconciliation of daily deposits and petty cash accounts
  • Maintain credit card payments and receipts
  • Collection of incoming money from taxes, utility bills, permits, dog licenses, etc.
  • Maintaining spreadsheets for various reports
  • Maintain appointment calendar and scheduling meetings accordingly
  • Assist with special events ie; Elections, City Events, etc.

Office Clerk Requirements:

  • 1+ years of experience in an office setting
  • Intermediate knowledge of Word and Excel
  • General accounting knowledge is helpful

Office Clerk Skills:

  • Ability to juggle multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Enjoy interacting with the public
  • Detail oriented is a must
