IT Support Specialist

Southfield, MI - Full Time

Our client, a not-for-profit automotive industry association who works collaboratively to streamline industry processes and best practices, is currently seeking an IT Support Specialist for its office in Southfield, MI. The IT Support Specialist will be responsible for providing technical support and resolution of computer hardware, software, and network issues.

Compensation for the IT Support Specialist is based on experience ranging from $50,000 - $55,000 annually. The work hours are Monday – Friday 8-5pm with availability to work overtime as needed. This is a direct hire position.

IT Support Specialist Job Functions:

  • Computer Administration and support to end-users in a Microsoft Windows environment
  • MS Office and Office 365 Support
  • User desktop management with a working knowledge of system patch practices, security applications management and imaging
  • Investigate User desktop management with a working knowledge of system patch practices, security applications management and imaging
  • Some management, monitoring and support of the servers
  • VOIP telephone system support including extension provision, and management
  • Coordinate with internal staff, including IT, Program and Sales to facilitate the flow of business intelligence and determine specific needs
  • Manage security access to shared mailboxes
  • File share access administration
  • Wi-Fi access troubleshooting and management
  • Provide infrastructure and basic LAN/WAN support

IT Support Specialist Job Requirements:

  • Associate Degree or equivalent work experience in a related
  • Two or more years of experience with a Windows environment
  • Excellent computer skills; knowledge of disc imaging utilities preferred
  • Excellent written, verbal, customer service and interpersonal communication skills
  • Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from group of managers, clients, customers, and the public
  • Strong analytical problem solving and decision-making skills
  • Able to work with employees at all levels, customers and vendors
  • Ability to work extended hour and travel as needed
