Assistant Recruiter/Receptionist

Snelling Staffing Services is adding a Receptionist/Assistant Recruiter to our dynamic Southfield team.  Snelling is a full service staffing firm, providing Temporary, Temporary-to-Hire and Direct Hire recruiting services to our client companies.  As an organization we focus on the office services and logistics sectors of the staffing industry.

This is a fast-paced environment requiring exceptional decision making, communication and assessment skills.

Direct Hire Opportunity

Hours M-F 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

Wage $12.00 to $15.00 per hour

Receptionist/Assistant Recruiter Duties Include:

  • Answer phones and direct calls to appropriate staff
  • Work with employees and prospective employees to record availability for work
  • Review and assess inbound resumes
  • Place outbound calls to prospective employees, assess skills, discuss previous work experience, schedule interview.
  • Conduct employment references
  • Place ads for open positions
  • Source resumes from job boards, centers of influence and referral sources
  • Meet and greet visitors and candidates
  • Distribute and explain application process and paperwork
  • Enter information into data base
  • Send skills assessments to candidates, pull results and record in data base
  • Interact with client companies professionally
  • Support Recruiting team with miscellaneous tasks as directed
  • Conduct internal compliance audits
  • Participate in Branch initiatives
  • Receptionist/Assistant Recruiter Skills Needed:
  • Strong computer skills, specifically Microsoft Office Suite
  • Excellent communication skills – both oral and written
  • Customer service skills
  • Problem solving skills
  • Ability to prioritize tasks appropriately
  • Organizational skills
  • Analytical skills
  • Work independently and as part of a team
  • Exposure to HRIS systems is a plus
  • Ability to type 55 wpm
  • Receptionist/Assistant Recruiter Job Requirements:
  • High School Diploma or higher
  • Previous experience in a customer focused position
  • 2 years of experience in an Office position or Retail Management/team lead/key holder role
